Delivery
Ground shipments will be delivered by United Parcel Service
(UPS) using their standard Ground Service. The shipment will arrive in
two to seven days, depending on the distance from the manufacturer to
the delivery location. The manufacturers will ship the order during
their normal business hours from Monday to Friday. UPS will deliver the
order on normal business days Monday to Friday.
Air shipments will be delivered by United Parcel Service
(UPS) using their Guaranteed Next Day Air Service. The
shipment will arrive the next day after the order is
shipped by the manufacturer not including Saturday and
Sunday. If the order is placed before noon, the
manufacturer will normally ship the order the same day.
If the order is placed after noon, the manufacturer will
normally ship the following day, not including Saturday
and Sunday. The manufacturers will ship the order during
their normal business hours from Monday to Friday. UPS
will deliver the order on normal business days Monday to
Friday.
Warranty
Each manufacturer has a warranty that covers their products.
Most have a one-year warranty. Some have a longer warranty period such
as 2 years and some as long as 5 years.
If a scale or balance needs warranty repair, please
contact the Warranty repair department at the
manufacturer directly for shipping instructions. You are
responsible for the shipping charges to get the item to
the manufacturer. The shipping charges to get the item
back to you will be covered by the manufacturer.
Returns/Refunds
You may return your order for a refund based on the
manufacturer's normal return policies. You would simply email
customerservice@scaleworks.biz and request a RMA (Return Material
Authorization) number stating the reason for the return. We will contact
the manufacturer to obtain their RMA number. At that time the
manufacturer will determine Return/Restocking charges. Most manufacturer
charge a 20% return charge for handling expenses. Some are more and some
are less.
We will tell you exactly what the charge is, give you
the RMA number and the address to ship the scale being
returned. You would then return the scale in the
original packing material and cartons to the
manufacturer via UPS, shipping charges prepaid, and mark
the outside of the carton with the RMA number.
When the scale is received and inspected by the
manufacturer, we will issue you credit on the credit
card account that was used to purchase the scale. The
amount of the credit will be the product purchase price
less the return charges.
Repairs
Each manufacturer has a depot that repairs their products.
Please contact the repair department at the manufacturer
directly for shipping instructions. You are responsible
for the shipping charges to get the item to the
manufacturer for repair. The repair charges and the
shipping cost to get the repaired item back to you will
be charged to you by the manufacturer.
